Predict Module

The predict module provides details on the health of turbine components and behaviors for mechanical (bearings, hydraulic cylinders, gearboxes, pumps, etc.) and electrical (generators, transformers, power convertors, etc.) components. Behaviors monitored include power curve, equipment cooling, and other similar behaviors. SparkCognition’s proprietary models combine the latest in data analytics with physics based methods to increase model accuracy and prediction horizons.

Below are the models SparkCognition can currently provide for Turbine Component Health Score modeling.

  • Main Bearing
  • Power Curve
  • Pitch Bearings
  • Generator Bearing A & B Gen bearing A refers to the upwind end or drive end of the Generator and Generator Bearing B refers to the downwind end or non-drive end of the generator.
  • Gearbox Oil
  • Generator Winding
 
 
Accessing the Predict Module

The Predict Module can be accessed by utilizing the side toolbar of the SparkCognition Renewables Suite.

Once in the Predict Module, users will see Level 1 and Level 2 health alerts as well as a Device Health Alert Table.

At the top of the Predict Module, Users can sort for specific health alerts by Site, Device, or Component by using the dropdown menus, shown below.

This can help users to sort Health Alerts effectively and quickly gain insights for troubleshooting.
